Locums Board Certified or Board Eligible Neurosurgeon
We are seeking a locums board certified or board eligible neurosurgeon to provide coverage in a trauma and acute care neurosurgery practice with an elective component at an ACS-verified level II trauma center on the South Texas Gulf Coast. This opportunity offers a flexible block schedule, strong APP support, and the ability to work in a modern, state-of-the-art facility while enjoying a coastal lifestyle.
Position Highlights
- Trauma and acute care neurosurgery with elective case volume
- ACS-verified level II trauma center
- Supported by a full-time, experienced advanced practice provider
- Per diem opportunity with 4-7 flexible, 24 hour shifts per month
- No additional call requirement
Practice Setting
- New, state-of-the-art hospital
- Advanced ER, OR, and inpatient facilities
- Accredited stroke center with strong subspecialty support
- Collaborative, team-based environment
Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide trauma and acute care neurosurgical coverage
- Manage emergency and inpatient neurosurgical cases
- Perform elective neurosurgical procedures as appropriate
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and APP support
- Ensure high-quality patient care and documentation
Requirements
- Board certified or board eligible in neurosurgery
- Active Texas medical license (or ability to obtain)
- Current experience in trauma neurosurgery
Compensation & Benefits
- $4600 per shift
