Retail Store Lead Clerk – Comic Books

Location: Carrollton, TX Work hour: 11:00am – 7:30pm. (5 days per week, 40 hours total, including weekends and holidays) Classification: Non-Exempt, Full-Time, Direct-Hire

An international retail store is seeking a Full-Time Lead Store Clerk who is passionate about comic books, anime, and stationaries. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys customer interaction and has a strong interest in books, comics, manga, and graphic novels. Qualified candidates should have at least one year of retail experience, preferably in a full-time retail store environment. Candidates should also have experience leading part-time retail staff, ideally in a Staff Lead, Supervisor, Assistant Manager, or Store Manager capacity.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure all store procedure is correctly handed based on company operation standards.
• Secure a consistent, seamless, and positive customer experience.
• Perform register sales transactions quickly and accurately with established cash control procedures.
• Provide support to fellow employees through sharing of knowledge, helping to complete tasks and/or assisting in customer interactions.
• Resolve customer concerns with customer satisfaction in mind and escalate any issue to store manager.
• Develop and arrange promotional material and in-store displays.
• Open and close the store, ensuring the safety of employees and customers.
• Other duties assigned.

Qualifications:

• Previous full-time retail experience required, including handling merchandise and inventory.
• Strong interest in and passion for comics, books, anime, manga, or stationery.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with a strong sense of responsibility.
• Store Lead, Supervisor, or Manager experience.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
• Basic computer and POS system skills required.
• Ability to occasionally lift and carry 30–50 pounds.
