Audit Senior
The Audit Senior performs and coordinates audit and assurance procedures for assigned engagement areas, applying professional judgment to identify issues and support high-quality, efficient delivery. This role works closely with audit leadership to meet engagement objectivesand timelines, and may provide day-to-day guidance to junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
• Execute complex audit areas in accordance with firm methodology and professional standards
• Prepare and document audit workpapers, including testing, analysis, and conclusions
• Identify audit issues, perform root-cause analysis, and propose practical resolutions
• Review workpapers prepared by audit staff and interns for accuracy and completeness
• Communicate engagement status, risks, and findings to audit leadership; escalate issues as needed
• Coordinate client requests, walkthroughs, and deliverables to support engagement timelines
Key Accountabilities
• Audit areas executed and documented to firm standards, with clear support for conclusions
• Timely, accurate workpapers with appropriate judgment and escalation of issues
• Effective review feedback and day-to-day guidance that improves junior team output
• Professional, responsive communication with engagement leadership and clients
Skill / Knowledge Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• CPA license or active pursuit of CPA licensure
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP and auditing standards
• Experience performing audit procedures and preparing workpapers in a public accounting environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and audit software/tools
