Job Title: Respiratory Care Practitioner - Central NICU PICU Float

Job Summary:
The Respiratory Care Practitioner provides comprehensive respiratory therapy services and demonstrates a strong understanding of contemporary respiratory care principles. This role collaborates closely with physicians and nurses to develop and implement individualized patient care plans. The practitioner supports a wide range of respiratory treatments and procedures while ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to plan and implement patient care
  • Administer respiratory therapy treatments and interventions in accordance with physician orders and clinical protocols
  • Assist physicians in the delivery and direction of respiratory therapy services
  • Operate and maintain ventilatory support systems, monitoring equipment, and resuscitation devices
  • Perform patient assessments, diagnostic procedures, and oxygen therapy
  • Monitor patient responses and communicate updates to the care team
  • Complete department and unit-specific orientation programs as required
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Perform additional patient care functions within scope of training and competency
Required Qualifications:
  • Education sufficient to meet certification, licensure, or registration requirements
  • Washington Respiratory Care Practitioner License upon hire
  • National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire
Preferred Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy principles and practices
  • Experience operating ventilators and advanced respiratory support equipment
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care
