This role collaborates closely with physicians and nurses to develop and implement individualized patient care plans. The practitioner supports a wide range of respiratory treatments and procedures while ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to plan and implement patient care
- Administer respiratory therapy treatments and interventions in accordance with physician orders and clinical protocols
- Assist physicians in the delivery and direction of respiratory therapy services
- Operate and maintain ventilatory support systems, monitoring equipment, and resuscitation devices
- Perform patient assessments, diagnostic procedures, and oxygen therapy
- Monitor patient responses and communicate updates to the care team
- Complete department and unit-specific orientation programs as required
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
- Perform additional patient care functions within scope of training and competency
- Education sufficient to meet certification, licensure, or registration requirements
- Washington Respiratory Care Practitioner License upon hire
- National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire
- Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy principles and practices
- Experience operating ventilators and advanced respiratory support equipment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
