Description
The primary functions of this position are to coordinate, set-up, and supervise all events in the GCTV Studio as well as provide production and technical support to the staff and students within the Center for Student Media and the Digital Media Program at Gulf Coast State College. This position supervises the coverage of campus events for the use as broadcast material to promote the college on GCTV and works closely with the athletic department to ensure coverage of all home sporting events on Commodore Sports Network.

Examples of Duties
Supervise the training, scheduling, and evaluation of production staff and student crews in the safe and appropriate use of all systems and equipment.
Manage the GCTV Studio schedule for classes, student programming, GCSC activities, and community member use.
Update the Center for Student Media Basecamp teams with new events.
Confirm student sign-ups for production events through Basecamp.
Train, coordinate, and supervise student crews for filming home sporting events.
Develop production materials (e.g., promos, commercials, opens) for live-streamed sporting events as needed.
Assist students in the GCTV Studio with filming and producing student-developed television programming.
Schedule and supervise television coverage of campus events (e.g., lecture series, forums, guest speakers, graduation, pinning ceremonies, concerts).
Collect footage from on-campus events (i.e. Club Rush, World College Radio Day, Regalia Pick Up, Fall Fest, Spring Break Send-Off), independently or in tandem with student assistant support for promotional material across multiple platforms.
Partner with AlterNation Student Radio Station Manager to coordinate Center for Student Media and Student Assistant Meetings.
Work collaboratively with AlterNation Student Radio Station Manager to ensure students are working across all facets of the CFSM (Commodore Productions, the AlterNation, Commodore Waves).
Develop content for Commodore Waves that promotes the Center for Student Media and Commodore Productions.
Develop and recommend documentation and procedures for the use of the GCTV Studio.
Collaborate with cross-departmental staff to create programming ideas that highlight various college programs.
Curate content for Commodore Productions YouTube page, keeping the content fresh and current.
Maintain production spaces (e.g., studio, trailer) and equipment.
Maintain an itemized inventory of equipment for student check-out.
Assist students with equipment usage, maintenance, and troubleshooting for classroom and personal projects.
Conduct workshops on various Digital Media topics tailored to student interests.
Other duties as assigned from time-to-time
Qualifications
Associate's degree from an institutionally accredited college with emphasis in digital media or related field
Two years' experience in radio or TV production
