RN - Interventional Radiology (IR)

Shift Details: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM, 5 shifts per week, 40 scheduled hours.

Job Order Details: Start Date 08/31/2026, End Date 11/30/2026, Duration 13 weeks.

Job Description: Delivers patient care utilizing the nursing process through datacollection and assessment, identifies and determines the priority of patient's problems/needs, and evaluates the process and outcome of nursing care; coordinates, provides and directs patient teaching activities and coordinates the care provided by health team members.

Essential Job Functions: In collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team, conducts initial and ongoing patient assessment, analyzes assessment data, creates a plan of care, implements treatment and evaluates treatment effectiveness; administers medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Practice and Bon Secours Mercy Health policies and procedures; serves as a point of contact for patients' care coordination throughout hospital departments. Acts as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the department. Incorporates the professional practice model into care delivery.

Certification: BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (preferred), Valid nursing license from the state of practice (required), Education Associate of Nursing, nursing (required) OR Diploma in Nursing (required), Bachelors of Science, nursing (preferred).

Additional Notes and Requirements: BSMH Orientation Calendar, Holiday unit coverage schedule: 18-week contract for 8/31 Orientation (end date 1/2/27), 16-week contract for 9/14 Orientation (end date 1/2/27), 16-week contract for 9/28 Orientation (end date 1/16/27), Position Specific Details: IR RN ECG exam will be required (study guide located in Simplify library), Must be able to sedate all cases to include neuro required (will not scrub in), Strong cerebral angiogram experience required, Seeking experience with these procedures: Y90, TACE, TIPS, carotid stents, and vertebral stents, EPIC experience required, BLS and ACLS required, 40-Hr Guarantee per week, Tues-Fri, 7a-5:30p BLOCKED Call: Approx. 4x per month, ITO interviews, Manager reviews profile, Unit Specific Details: 10-15 angio cases per day - may be asked to help support CT, Ultrasound, and Diagnostic procedures, Busy unit, must be flexible and adaptable. Not peripheral vascular work (Looking for someone who has done more than just lines and drains), Patient population: Pediatric - Geriatric, Equipment: Philips monitors and LifePak code cart defibrillator Guaranteed Hours: Contract Weeks: 91.
