Associate/Assistant Planner

In this role, you'll play a key part in reviewing development proposals, guiding long-range planning efforts, and helping residents and developers navigate planning policies. As an Associate/Assistant Planner, you will serve as the point of entry for development proposals and provide assistance to architects, designers, developers, builders, and residents. You'll be the go-to resource for guiding applicants through the process, recommending improvements to project design, and preparing environmental documents that shape the future of our community. Your expertise will enable you to review plans, conduct site visits, issue permits, and respond to public inquiries. Tentative Interview Schedule:

  • First round interviews - Week of September 7, 2026

What City of Roseville Offers:

The current two (2) vacancies are regular, benefitted positions. The list established from this recruitment will be used to fill any Regular, Limited Term or Temporary, Part-time vacancies for the duration of the list. The normal work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 5:00 pm; a flex and/or hybrid schedule may be available depending on department needs and employees must be able to report to the City of Roseville worksite when required.
